You can shop online on this site, and at Esty at www.ehmeglass.etsy.com, which is an online store for handmade items. To buy online on this site, go to Work, for sale section, and click on a thumbnail view of an item to display a bigger image and provides shopping cart buttons. On either site, payment is processed on PayPal's secure payment site with payments accepted by credit card or by PayPal. You do not need to join PayPal to pay by credit card.


Handmade Jewelry Is One of a Kind:
All jewelry on this site is handmade by Amy Johnson, and or Cynthia Archer. Each piece is individual and no two are exactly the same, though they may have the same basic design elements and look very similar. Work pictured in the "for sale" section is a picture of the exact piece you are able to purchase with some exceptions such as rings, which are ordered size specific. If two or more people express interest in the same piece at the same time then it will be sold on a first come first serve basis. I will offer to make another work in the same style that will essentially look the same. Small differences due to the one of a kind nature of working in glass and metal by hand may occur. If Required a picture of the work will be sent to ensure that you are happy with the results, however I will still require advance payment before starting to make another piece.

Handmade Beads: Remember they are all Unique!!:
The variety of colours available are represented quite well across the website as a whole, and we ask that you remember that due to the nature of our work and the materials we use even the same colours may vary slightly due to different batches of glass etc. If you are ordering custom work we ask that you please keep this in mind and appreciate that this is part of the charm of handmade jewelry and beads and that's part of why it's so rad!!!

Sizes:
Most of our work can be made to fit your size if you inform us of your size. The work in the "for sale" section is mostly predetermined sizes however, if you see something there that you want but it's not quite your size, please email us to see if it can be easily altered or if we can make a custom piece for you.

Custom Jewelry:
If you see a piece of jewelry that is not in the "for sale" section that you want to buy or you like something but it's not quite your colours or you want a little smaller, little bigger, this is all possible. Please feel free to ask me about your specific requests and we can begin a dialogue to figure out what will excite you the most and talk about designing a piece of jewelry specifically for you. The more you can tell me about what you like and want the better, however please trust that I will do my best to make you happy and remember I have a strong design sense and this is what I do best!! There is a 20% additional charge on most custom orders, unless otherwise stated, and I do require payment in advance before I will begin making custom pieces. Custom work is non-returnable, however we will do our best to ensure complete satisfaction.

Returns, Refunds, Exchanges:
All work is made by hand and is of high quality. All our work is made to the best of our ability and if for some reason something breaks because of a design flaw or technical malfunction then we will fix or replace the piece. However if something breaks because of misuse, or improper care, or because you are not happy with the look of it then we are not responsible for replacing it or refunding your money. We may be able to fix it for you but there will be a charge and you must pay for shipping. Glass is a breakable material however it is also very strong and if proper care and common sense are exercised when wearing our jewelry, it is our experience that it will last a very long time and make you very happy.

Prices:
All prices listed on the website are in Canadian dollars and all applicable taxes will be added.

Taxes:
All Canadian sales are subject to the GSTor HST,( federal sales tax) and Ontario sales are also subject to 8% provincial sales tax. These will be charged on top of the price listed. International customers who receive the items by mail or parcel delivery service are not charged either of these taxes.

Shipping:

  • Within Canada, shipping is $10.00 via Canada Post's Xpresspost, this includes 5% GST.
  • To the United States, shipping is $13.00 by Canada Post's Expedited Parcel-USA service .
  • Elsewhere (International) is $13.00 via Canada Post's International Small Packet Air service with $100 insurance.


On-line Purchase and Payment:
Secure on-line shopping is available on this site using PayPal with a PayPal account or a major credit card. Items added to the shopping cart can have the quantity adjusted when viewing the shopping cart. If an item states it is available in custom sizes or colours, please enter your size, etc. before clicking the add to cart button to the cart. On-line Payments are processed by PayPal, using their secure payment system. Customers without a PayPal account can pay with a credit card without being required to join PayPal. All customer payment information including customer name and address is processed on PayPal's secure web payment system. This merchant never receieves any credit card information. You will only be asked for your country/province location for the purposes of determining taxes, and for shipping method on this web site. All other information is entered on the PayPal web page after you click the checkout button. PayPal has been processing secure web payments since 2000, and in 2002 was purchased by eBay.

The PayPal invoice lists the total of the Ontario Retail Sales Tax and the Federal GSH/HST as one item, not the two separate entries customary within Canada. Any extra insurance charges are lumped together with shipping on PayPal's invoice, but are shown as separate items on our shopping cart. The first $100 of the insurance is included in the base shipping price and sales over $100 are charged an insurance fee for the extra coverage.

Once you click the checkout button and enter your payment choice, you will also have a cart-wide option to enter a note to the merchant in the "special instructions to seller" box to give us any additional information or requirements that is not specific to any item.

After your purchase, you will receive a purchase receipt by e-mail from PayPal to confirm your purchase.

Off-line Payment Methods:

  • Telephone order with Credit Cards payment
    I accept Visa or Master card, for telephone orders, please call 647-430-8589 to order.
  • Telephone order with PayPal payment
    If you wish to place the order verbally, and pay by PayPal, then please follow up your telephone order with a confirming e-mail, and I will reply with a PayPal invoice.
  • E-mail
    To place an order please send me an e-mail with the item id and please write "purchase" in the subject line of the email, and I will e-mail you a Paypal invoice. Please also include your name and complete shipping address.
  • Snail-mail order with international money order payment
    Please do not send money order without calling or e-mailing me to say that you want to purchase an item so that I can remove it from the "for sale" section so that others do not order the same piece before your order arrives. Canada Post money orders are accepted within Canada. You can use the on-line cart, and click the bottom line that states "SHOW printable mail-order form". If you are inside Canada, you can convert the $US amount into $CDN at that day's conversion rate and buy a Canada Post Money Order denominated in Canadian funds.

Full payment is required for all pieces from the "for sale" section or for custom orders before I will ship the work.
